    Do not buy if you use HomeAssistant

    This device is cumbersome. It does not work with ZHA or Z2M as Tuya have fallen away from the Zigbee standard. Whilst this is technically a Zigbee device, it will only work with the Tuya Smart App + Tuya Zigbee Gateway which is separate.

    The functions do indeed work if you only ever use the cloud dependent Tuya app - but not if you wish to use it with HomeAssistant + Webhooks (such as those with Ubiquiti's Doorbell or Access suites).

    In addition, using something like Local Tuya, or even Tuya Local (better one of the 2) - won't give you the ability to use this as you would like.

    Disappointing - but will store the device until someone comes up with a working external converter with Z2M.

    Too big

    Not able to use the lock as it is twice the size of the old latch and does not fit between the edge and glass in door. It is a huge piece on the inside.
    Front panel also overlapped on door handle.
